Harley Davidson Sportster 1200R 2003 By El Solitario
"The main idea on this bike was to follow the path started with El Solitario Impostor in which we totally ruptured with the aesthetics of the motorcycle we were treating, but respected its framework. An anthropomorphical search for the beast within.
Named Malo/Bueno, she was intended to incarnate the paradoxical duality present in human nature, but minding the gap between two of its most distinct types;
The Buenos/Malos – Good/Bads – those snakes hiding under a sheepskin, seeming good people at first but proving themselves evil in the long run. These kind are the most dangerous and unreliable human beings you might come across and they’re not welcome around here. The Malos/Buenos– Bad/Goods – on the other hand, are those that although looking fierce from a safe distance, turn into sweet teddy bears if handled with care.
Our apologetic HD powered beast will be of the second kind – obviously – as for the first we tend to avoid them before they get too close
With our motorcycles we look to create an impact on the viewer, and this does not necessary mean to please their eyes with easy indulgent proposals. So it is easy to expect the polarizing of opinions being some reactions of strong hate and disregard, specially from the most narrow-minded elements of biker culture, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Every Solitario motorcycle is prepared to get on a cross country road trip as that is what they are meant for. We do not produce show bikes as we despise that genre, understanding that it is a shame to spend countless hours in constructing, a supposedly liberating instrument like motorcycle for the sole purpose of looking at it.
Concluding, if we mix the pure conceptual search of the essence of the motorcycle, with the need to ride for countless hours, trouble free and with the necessary minimum ergonomics, we can draw El Solitario Malo Bueno. It looks outrageous and killer, but under the medieval looking body we have a 100% stock Harley Davidson motorcycle that will take its rider to places and situations he/she never dreamt of."
